Luxury hotels

Currently, Meribel has only one five-star hotel, Le Kaila which boasts a 500 metre square spa, Michelin-starred restaurant and plenty of chic styling throughout. There is a good selection of four-star hotels to choose from too, including l'Helios with its great piste-side location and Méribel’s only private cinema, Le Yeti Hotel at the Rond Point des Pistes, the Alpen Ruitor Hotel in Mottaret and La Chaudanne Hotel which has had a fantastic refurbishment recently. These hotels also boast fine dining restaurants and great spa and treatment facilities.

Family-friendly hotels

A good proportion of Meribel hotels offer family rooms but it's hard to beat the facilities offered by the Mark Warner hotel in Mottaret, with a crèche, kids’ clubs and evening childcare all under one roof. L'Eterlou Hotel has a pool table, family rooms and an outdoor swimming pool and the Merilys Hotel has a games room and is great for larger families or groups looking to stay together. If you want to base yourselves near the beginner ski areas, take a look at staying in Mottaret, Le Rond Point or near the Altiport.

Hotels close to the pistes

You're never too far from the pistes in Meribel with the local Meribus shuttle buses but some of the hotels have direct ski-in / ski-out access. This is the case of four-star hotels l'Helios and Le Yeti or the three-star Merilys Hotel which are all located around the Rond Point des Pistes, just above Meribel centre. In Mottaret, the Alpen Ruitor Hotel sits right at the bottom of the ski lifts.

Hotels close to nightlife

If you'd like to stay within stumbling distance of Meribel's lively après ski scene, then the centre of resort is more than likely where you'll want to be. Le Kaila, La Chaudanne and l'Eterlou can all be found at the bottom of the hill near O'Sullivans, Jack's Bar and Evolution, whilst further up into the centre you'll find Le Roc, Le Doron and Le Savoy clustered around another hot-spot of bars and restaurants. Stay in Les Allues if you're looking for a slightly quieter experience. La Croix Jean Claude Hotel is just a short walk from La Tsaretta restaurant and bar where you'll find bands playing throughout the winter season.

Budget hotels & aparthotels

If you want the independence of a self-catering apartment but the services and quality of a hotel, then a residence or aparthotel offers the ideal solution, and they're great for groups too. Pierre & Vacances have some good options in their Maeva, P&V or P&V Premium ranges or try Le Grand Chalet des Pistes at Le Rond Point which has ski-in / ski-out access. If you don't mind staying at the foot of the valley, the Verseau Club Hotel in Brides Les Bains is another good choice.
